Philippines Cavite On The Other Side

I took a break in traveling for almost two weeks to give attention to work and familial concerns. But it wasn't actually a full break, as I didn't really stayed in the house entirely.
I was moving a lot from one town, one city to another, but never outside the province. And in those two weeks, I realized something - there are still a lot more to learn even in the place I thought I completely know of.
Growing up in Cavite, and having traveled to every town, every city in it, I was confident that there's nothing about it I don't know. For a time perhaps I was right with that thought. But things change, and these changes can occur far from my knowledge.
For one, I never looked at Bacoor the way I look at it now. It's cleaner than it was before, although it's still not as clean as the lot of people want it to be. Imus on the other hand is showing efforts into putting the town back to shape. It once was a very beautiful town, but it has turned into a rugged, crowded nightmare. I wish the rehabilitation would be faster, as I miss the old Imus.
Amadeo's demography is getting older. About 8 of 10 people in the small town are aged 35 and above. This is due to their increasing financial base. The younger members of their families are sent to boarding schools in other cities, and most of them stay even after graduating to work. Same is happening to Alfonso, Gen. Emilio and other haciendero-rich towns.
Tagaytay, while still beautiful and lovely, is getting smaller. With new corporate developments, most of Tagaytay's spaces are getting occupied with vertical villages and malls. More and more natives are getting displaced with their lands being sold to companies and rich people. The Tolentino dynasty isn't helping to preserve Tagaytay's environment either.
Rosario and the other "sleepy towns" of Cavite are asleep no more! They have created a viable market for the expanding influence of Metro Manila lifestyle.
Gen. Trias and Trece Martirez are on the way to becoming the next spot for affluent villages. In the last two years, more than a dozen middle to upper class villages have sprung up in the said areas.
Dasmariñas, while still enjoying its new status as a city, is on a slow growth pace. The new city has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to infrastructures and community management.
Silang is my newest favorite, and I'll be biased about it. It's a green town who has high regards for the environment and the arts. It has wide spaces and less pollution. And I just love its people. I have rediscovered the place and actually bought a new house in the heart of it. There are tons to discovers within this mysterious, tradition-rich town.
