Adventure in Dinagat Islands

If there is one place I'd go for a great rock climbing experience, it would be Dinagat Islands. Sure, the ones in El Nido are more challenging, but it's too hard for me to enjoy. I'm not a pro rock climber.

Dinagay Islands has this charming yet mysterious air in it. From the moment you step on its land, you'll know adventure awaits. The islands are very much adorable, earning the title "Mystical Island Province of Love."

Dinagat Islands has unique rock formations that make it more attractive for adventure seekers like me. Good thing about these formations is that they are not that hard, and even beginners could try them.

Aside from rock formations, there are also numerous caves, waterfalls and great diving sites in the islands. What's even more amazing are the island's natural bonsai forests and breathtaking mountain lakes.

The natives of Dinagat are very much welcoming, something very common to all Filipinos. It would be nice if you a word or two in Bisaya, but you should not worry as the people in the island are very intelligent. They're so used to having travelers around they can understand and speak English fluently.

Going to Dinagat Islands requires extra effort though. From Manila you have to get on the earliest flight to Surigao City. From there, you will have to spend a few hours on a boat ride for the islands. Just pray the waters will be calm, or you will have an early adventure. Boats for Dinagat are also found in Bohol and Cebu ports.
