Comedians become instant action stars. Because they unfortunately have something that the syndicate wants, they are always being pursued. But they always get to beat the goons sent by the mob leader and one of their favorite action stunts is banging the heads of two hooligans. Sometimes, their enemy also happens to be their rivals with their leading ladies.

They can also be instant nannies. Instead of a woman, they dedicate their lives in protecting a lovable child not related to them by blood. The child acts like a kid but thinks like an adult. Perfect example? Serena Dalrymple.

But the most cliche part is their song and dance number in a beach or resort with all the other characters in the movie (except, of course, the villains). It is just amazing because they can still party on the day before they face off with the enemy.

ACTION

The main lead or “bida” could either be a lawful policeman or a newly-released convict. He simply loves to wear his legendary jacket whether the sun is up or the rain is down. Even when he has a wife, he just cannot resist temptation. When his unfaithfulness gets revealed, his wife shows off great power in throwing a lot of things towards him (mostly plates or vases).

The bida always wants to extract revenge to the person that killed the members of his family or his beloved ones just because he was being a “lawful policeman”. His vendetta could also be directed to those people who sent him to jail; the reason for his incarceration is often justified, e.g. frame-up. This revenge plot inspires the title of the film that is certain to be mentioned by the bida with so much emotion and conviction.

Of course, the bida must always have a young and lovely leading lady by his side. This is the girl whom he can risk his life for. She’s always the one that creates havoc in bida’s life because she is the enemy’s daughter or sister. Also, she is engaged to another man that her kontrabida-father has chosen for her. This is the reason why she expectantly moves out of their house and lives within bida’s community.
