Recently I've been trying a different kind of pastime activity, shooting. Well, it's actually not my first time in a firing range but it's just now I got hooked in the sports. 

When I was younger I tried my shooting abilities in my uncle's gun factory in Danao, Cebu. After that I was able to try the sports in Bohol. A few months ago I went to Armscor Shooting Center in Marikina with my nephews and some friends. I've also been to numerous shooting ranges located in malls and golf courses. And a few days ago, I tried the Jetro Gun Club and Firing Range in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

It's actually funny since I've been to a lot of shooting facilities that are far from my place and yet it's just now that I have tried the one that is really proximate from our residence.

It was all good. Jetro Firing Range is located in Bucal, Dasmariñas, Cavite, some kilometers away from Robinson's and SM shopping malls. You will know you are near the place when you passed Euro Med Laboratories. If you went pass New Era, then you miss the firing range. The only sign that will let you know you're in the alley to the shooting range is a small, hand painted wooden plank standing on the right side of the Aguinaldo Hi-Way.

The shooting range is located in some sort of a cliff that is cut through by a huge river. The way to the venue is an adventure itself, and I would think it is more challenging if it is raining.

Their facilities are great. Not as good as those you can find in Armscor or in Jethro Dionisio firing clubs but it's definitely tolerable and if you're a beginner, this place is ideal. So next time you are in the area, don't miss the experience.
